【編按】看到這則「70年前 14歲黑人男孩冤死在電椅」的新聞，陳欽賢法官將新聞轉PO在臉書上，並寫下以下的這段感言。我們取得陳法官的同意刊登在此。

死刑裡的冤魂席次

世界上沒有完美的刑事訴訟程序，
天底下沒有不會犯錯的法官或陪審員。
我們保留了死刑，也就保留了冤魂席次。
只是不知道那些座位已經坐了誰，
以及將來換誰去坐！


There is no perfect judicial system in the world, nor flawless judges or jury. As long as we keep the death penalty, more souls will take their seats among the wrongfully dead. The only thing we don't know, is who has already taken his seat, and who will come next.
